ABOUT ME

I am a London-based Freelance Theatre Director. I trained on the MFA in Theatre Directing  at Birkbeck College, University of London.

I recently directed Blister by Laura Lomas (Autumn 2022) and New Labour by Marcelo Does Santos (Spring 2022) at LAMDA, both with the 3rd year BA Acting  students. During Summer 2022 I was a director & project leader on LAMDA's 8-week Summer Shakespeare course.

In 2021 I relocated to London after a decade of living and working in Chicago, where I was an ensemble member with Strawdog Theatre Company and Sideshow Theatre Company. I worked with many other Chicago companies including Timeline, Raven, Jackalope, Victory Gardens, Goodman, Trap Door, Stage Left, Court Theatre and Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. Recent Chicago credits include The Effect by Lucy Prebble at Strawdog Theatre and Yen by Anna Jordan at Raven Theatre. My first production in the US was THE TOMKAT PROJECT at the Playground Theatre, which then transferred to the NY Fringe in 2013.

In the UK I have worked at the Royal National Theatre, Royal Court Theatre, Almeida Theatre, Paines Plough, Papatango Theatre, Southwark Playhouse, Theatre503 and The Gate Theatre. For several years, in London, I worked as a director and producer for Brother Tongue, a company I co-founded which focused on producing new translations of European work.
